What is SMS fallback?
SMS fallback is the ability to re-route a message via the SMS channel when a rich business message cannot be delivered to a mobile device due to the device not been enabled to receive a rich business message or does not have the require app on their phone. This means that your message is then delivered in a text format, with a URL link to the rich content instead of via the RCS Business Messaging channel.
How do I set up SMS failback?
You can enable SMS fallback from within the Kero WebApp. This will allow you to compose an SMS message for every rich business messaging campaign.
Marketing messages and SMS fallback?
If you have enabled SMS fallback for your rich business messaging marketing campaign, ensure that you include REPLY STOP TO OPT-OUT at the end of the SMS message in the SMS template in your brand agent. This will ensure that your messaging campaign complies with direct marketing regulations for the mobile messaging industry.
